Volunteer Opportunities with Brown County United Way

It’s essential to serve the county we advocate for every day. We collaborate with agencies to create or expand Brown County volunteer events, hoping to inspire others to volunteer. Brown County United Way hosts and co-sponsors numerous volunteer events throughout the year. Here are some ways you can join us.

Annual Diaper Drive

September

In recognition of Diaper Need Awareness Week in September, Brown County United Way and the Greater Green Bay Labor Council co-sponsor an annual diaper drive to supply Brown County parents with much-needed diapers. Over the 14-year history of the drive, more than 1,000,000 diapers have been collected and distributed to families in need through Brown County agencies.

Blanketing Brown County

October

Every year, Brown County United Way proudly co-sponsors a blanket drive with the Greater Green Bay Labor Council to support our community during the colder months. The collected blankets are distributed to local organizations that serve those in need, ensuring warmth and comfort for many throughout winter.

The Greater Green Bay Labor Council leads the effort by placing collection bins throughout the community and managing the collection and distribution process.

This year, Brown County United Way partnered with students from Pulaski High School and Green Bay East High School to expand the reach of this important initiative. Their enthusiasm and dedication in gathering blankets reflect the power of youth involvement in strengthening our community.

Together, we’re making a difference, one blanket at a time.
