Community Champions Strengthen Brown County
Every thriving community needs passionate leaders who understand local challenges and are ready to create solutions. That's why Brown County United Way is launching Community Champions – a dynamic group of community-minded individuals united by their commitment to strengthen every person and every community in Brown County.
Our Purpose
Community Champions are more than advocates – they're catalysts for change. We bring together diverse perspectives, experiences, and talents to tackle our community's most pressing challenges. Whether you're a young professional seeking to make your mark, a seasoned leader ready to share your expertise, or anyone passionate about creating positive change, you can be a Community Champion.
What Makes Us Different
We don't just talk about change – we create it. Community Champions learn directly from local experts about our community's needs. We connect with others who share our passion for making a difference, multiplying our impact. Together, we advocate for effective solutions and drive resources where they're needed most.
Join Us
As a Community Champion, you'll be part of a movement that transforms understanding into action. We learn about the real issues facing our neighbors. We find meaningful ways to volunteer our time and talents.
The best solutions come from working together. As a Champion, you'll meet dedicated people who can help guide your community involvement. You'll discover the most effective ways to make an impact. Most importantly, you'll be part of building a stronger, more unified Brown County.

Our Next Event
Experience. Understand. Act. Attend an ALICE Simulation to understand the need in your community.
Did you know 1 in 3 families in Brown County struggle to meet their basic needs? Brown County United Way invites you to step into their shoes through our powerful ALICE simulation.
ALICE stands for Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed. These are our neighbors who work hard but still face tough choices every day. Through this simulation, you'll experience these choices firsthand. You'll understand how financial decisions ripple through our community and gain a new perspective on Brown County. The event will begin with a half hour of networking and light refreshments, followed by the simulation and discussion.
This event will be offered three times to meet popular demand.
