Brown County United Way Reinvests in Community Schools Initiative to Support Local Scholars and Families

Brown County United Way is proud to announce a $150,000 reinvestment in its Community Schools Initiative for the 2024-2025 school year, expanding its impact to two schools: Howe Elementary Community School and Nicolet Elementary School. This renewed commitment builds on the success of the partnership between Brown County United Way and the Green Bay Area Public School District, ensuring greater access to critical resources for students, families, and the surrounding community.
Howe Elementary Community School, with 373 scholars in grades 4K through 5th, has been a cornerstone of the Community Schools Initiative since its inception. Nicolet Elementary School, now joining the initiative, serves 330 students in grades 4K through 5th. Together, these schools embody the Community School model as neighborhood hubs, offering academic, emotional, health, and social services to foster holistic support for scholars and their families.

This reinvestment will address several critical needs identified by the schools, including:

- Initiatives to increase attendance
