Brown County United Way Aims to Match $125,000 Green Bay Packers Foundation Impact Grant on Giving Tuesday

GREEN BAY, WI — Brown County United Way is thrilled to announce that it has been awarded a $125,000 matching grant from the Green Bay Packers Foundation to support programming at the City East Center in Green Bay. This funding, which empowers Brown County United Way to raise a matching $125,000, will be a primary focus on Giving Tuesday, December 3, as the organization seeks to leverage the grant to expand critical services for the community.

The City East Center serves as a hub for community support, education, and connection, offering essential programs that benefit children, families, and individuals across Green Bay. The Green Bay Packers Foundation Impact Grant will enable Brown County United Way to develop, implement, and evaluate a broad range of programs at the center, ensuring they meet the evolving needs of the community.

The Green Bay Packers Foundation awarded a total of $1.75 million in impact grants to ten nonprofit organizations this year, the highest amount in the program’s history. Brown County United Way was one of five organizations in Brown County to receive funding, with additional grants awarded to organizations in Dane and Milwaukee counties. Some of these grants, including the one awarded to Brown County United Way, are structured as matching grants, encouraging the community to participate in securing this vital funding.
