Volunteer Opportunities with Brown County United Way
It’s essential to serve the county we advocate for every day. We collaborate with agencies to create or expand Brown County volunteer events, hoping to inspire others to volunteer. Brown County United Way hosts and co-sponsors numerous volunteer events throughout the year. Here are some ways you can join us.

Day of Action
June
United Way’s annual volunteer day in communities worldwide, called Day of Action, takes place on or near June 21. At Brown County United Way, our activities are focused on helping ALICE.
In 2023 BCUW hosted a canned goods sculpture build. 1,500 cans of food were donated to ten food pantries in Brown County. In 2022, we volunteered at Wise Women Gathering Place, a local agency that helps women in need in Brown County.
Annual Diaper Drive
September
In recognition of Diaper Need Awareness Week in September, Brown County United Way and the Greater Green Bay Labor Council co-sponsor an annual diaper drive to supply Brown County parents with much-needed diapers. In the latest campaign, more than 88,000 diapers were collected. Kimberly-Clark donated over 85,000 Huggies. Over the 11-year history of the drive, more than 1,000,000 diapers have been collected and distributed to families in need through Brown County agencies.
Blanketing Brown County
October
Every year, BCUW co-sponsors a blanket drive with the Greater Green Bay Labor Council. In January 2023 we reimagined the drive and held the first-ever one-day Blanket Blitz at Lambeau Field in the Johnsonville Tailgate Village. More than 1,150 items were collected, sorted, and distributed to area agencies. We are grateful for the support of the Green Bay Packers GiveBack, Breakthrough Fuel, and WFRV TV-5 in meeting the cold weather needs in our community.
